2026
Not a great year.
I had
everything sorted,
we were starting at Wigan from the same spot where we had finished
in 2025, Hotels booked, route sorted and van hire arranged.
Then
bad news hit
Nearly half of our cycling group had illness requiring operations
and ongoing treatments lasting for most of the year.
We
called a breakfast meeting and decided if
we could not all go then none of us would go.
This meant unfortunately I had to cancel all the plans.
I have
kept the route and all the arrangements
and we are hoping everyone is fit and well
so we can complete the ride in 2027
As we
had not done much training over the year I decided to
have
a ride out to check my fitness.
As you will see from the pictures I have not deteriorated too much.
