Saturday 13th May. York to Marton le Moor.

Another Pleasant if overcast day we breakfasted ands then packed for the last time. Pleasant digs we said our goodbyes and then down on to the Riverside and the cycle route for the return journey. We pedalled steadily along. Its strange the last day. After a week in the saddle it takes you over and its the norm and it feels strange going back to reality. We retraced our steps Beningborough to Linton. Pretty uneventful a guy who was cycling Hull to Hawes rode with us a few miles. But pedalled on. Stopped at Linton Locks .It was dead only some kids about. So we cycled on Aldwark bridge, Ouseburn, The Dunsforths, Boroughbridge, Skeleton and up the Hill towards home.

No need for a map I know where we are

In Skeleton we phoned to warn of our position and rode in and like always we rode 3 abreast to the finish ,which felt strange this year cycling home. As we crested the bank we saw Jane, Karen with video camera and Mum and Dad, We also had a Union jack Finish Line. Which caused Alan next door some amusement.
So approx 2pm we finished yet another great Cycle Ride and holiday.
Photos certificates and of Course the Annual T Shirt. And It was nice just to fall off the bike and home for lunch. We achieved what we set out and have now in 3 years cycled Glasgow To Felixstow.

Been there done it
got the T shirt certificate
and the sore backside

(YES AND NEXT YEAR IS ALREADY PLANNED LANDS END TO FELIXSTOW)

A Pretty uneventful Ride the weather was brilliant, we had sun AND tans. Only One breakdown of course my bike. One front wheel puncture and a modification to my gears. Apart from that everything went well.
