Sunday 1st July……………………

Breakfast then we did the tourist bit round York walking in the sunshine. We even visited the Roman bath well all good Romans relaxed after labours in the Bath.

Early afternoon we all departed, Colin took Graeme and Karen back to his car left in Bishop Auckland, Jill ran me home to Marton le Moor.

Only a 4day break but great fun, we developed a theme. Not only North to South, Alphabet ride but a Roman theme following Dere Street.
And took in some railway heritage as well.
Next years ride is already decided.
Ermine Street to Lincoln and then the Fosse way to Exeter...All Roman roads.
